Southdown Institute

Southdown is an independent, non-profit registered charity, serving ordained clergy, vowed religious, lay pastoral minsters and all adults who consider faith and spirituality to be integral to their lives. Established in 1966, they have earned a reputation as a recognized industry leader in the provision of preventative and restorative care. Their highly experienced, multidisciplinary team is dedicated to helping our clients find healing and well-being.

The client wanted to hold a virtual conference for their members and stakeholders but did not have previous experience of organizing such an event. They contacted Canadian Webinar Solutions to help guide them through the process.

Canadian Webinar Solutions (CWS) was tasked with:

• Organization and Preparation: Providing the client with information about what is needed to hold a virtual conference. Ensuring that all required elements were considered during the planning and organization process and implemented accordingly.
• Conference Execution: Manage the virtual platform, employing everything that was decided on during the planning phase and provide any technical assistance to participants and panelists during the conference.

• Pre-Conference Planning: Meet with the client team to provide them with general information on how virtual conferences are organized as well as insights into what might work best for their specific event. Decide on the best approach and customizations for the conference and ensure that they are in place.
• Event Day: The Canadian Webinar Solutions team is readily available for easy communication the day of the conference to answer any final questions and ensure the client team is ready the event. Provide additional technical assistance during the event.

• Conference Organization: Through organizational meetings with the client, we were able to guide them through the process of organizing and running a virtual conference. All discussed elements were secured in advance to make for smooth execution on the day of the event.
• Conference Implementation: Due to well thought out preparation, the conference took place according to plan.

Thanks to the organizational work in the lead up to the conference, the event took place successfully. The client team was properly prepared and knew exactly what to expect during the conference. Technical support was provided in a timely manner to any attendees that encountered.
