The Canadian VHL Alliance (CVHLA) is a non-profit focused on supporting patients, families, and caregivers affected by von Hippel Lindau disease (VHL). The CVHLA is a great resource for patients, caregivers, researchers, and the medical community.
Challenges:
The client needed to organize a virtual symposium to provide resources to patients, families, and caregivers affected by von Hippel Lindau disease (VHL).
Objectives:
Canadian Webinar Solutions (CWS) was tasked with:
- Virtual Symposium Setup: Set up the symposium meeting on a trusted virtual platform and ensure that all aspects of the virtual symposium are in place.
- Technical support: Provide technical support to participants and panelists before and during the symposium.
Solution:
- Symposium Organization: CWS set up a customized event structure on the zoom platform with required elements enabled to accommodate the needs of the event.
- Technical Assistance: We were available via email and phone prior to the event to address any technical concerns that arose. Team members were secured to provide real-time technical support during the event.
Outcome:
- Symposium Implementation: Due to thorough preparation and planning, the symposium took place successfully. All client team members and panelists were able to easily take part and present material.
- Participant Experience: All participants were able to easily register for and access the virtual symposium. Our team aided any participants that had questions about the virtual platform’s functionality or other technical elements, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience.
Conclusion:
CWS’s experience in running virtual events was key to ensuring everything was in place during the planning phase of the virtual symposium. We also took care of providing support during the event. This allowed the client team to focus their efforts on the content of the event, knowing that the virtual components were looked after.
