Client Overview:
Transport Canada is the department within the Government of Canada responsible for developing regulations, policies and services of road, rail, marine and air transportation in Canada.
Challenges:
The client wanted to put on a webinar for partners, stakeholders and other interested parties to outline the application process for a new assessment tool that they developed. The webinar needed to be made available in both English and French. Additionally, a PowerPoint presentation with relevant content needed to be created for use during the webinar.
Objectives:
Canadian Webinar Solutions (CWS) was tasked with:
- Bilingual Webinar: Real-time translation was required during the webinar to ensure effective engagement with both English and French speaking participants.
- Presentation material: A PowerPoint presentation needed to be created for use during the webinar that presented webinar content in a coherent and digestible manner.
Solution:
CWS secured French translation services for the webinar and put together a PowerPoint presentation for the client to use during the webinar.
- French Translation: We worked with one of our trusted translation partners to secure a live translator who could provide real time French translation during the webinar.
- Content presentation: A PowerPoint presentation was designed in collaboration with the client team, to ensure that all relevant presentation material was included and presented in an appropriate manner for use during the webinar.
Outcome:
The webinar was successfully presented using the designed materials and translation was available.
- Bilingual Webinar: The webinar was available in both official Canadian languages to participants. This increased the reach and engagement with attendees.
- Professional presentation: Panelist presenters from the client team used the designed presentation materials during the webinar, making for an easy and professional presentation during the webinar.
Conclusion:
The services provided by CWS made for easy presentation of material during the webinar and lessoned the preparation required for the client. Additionally, participants were able to easily toggle between English and French translation throughout the webinar making for a more inclusive viewing experience and increasing attendee registrations.
